"I  cannot express enough how invaluable these sessions with Louise are!  Initially thinking I was perhaps rather unqualified and under skilled to  utilise career counselling, I was proven wrong very quickly. Louise  provides the necessary skills and knowledge for any student or  professional at any stage of their career. "I chose the Eco Program that Louise offers.  It was an insightful and  helpful exercise for me. I want to change my career and I can say the  program has helped me to clarify things that I didn't know and discover  others.  Firstly it gave me awareness of an area of interest where I now  know to be an unrealistic path to pursue. Although a bit  disappointing for me, this at least helped me to move on and discard  that option. On the other hand, during the discovery process Louise  showed me other paths that I can realistically pursue and which are also  very interesting to me. Hi  Louise, just to let you know I got two job offers. One offer was  through a job ad, and one through my network, and I ended up taking the  job I got through my network.  So your advice was spot on – keep  focussing on the network side of things for those opportunities. And was  it the job I was after?  Yes!  A project manager delivering energy  efficient and resource management projects for commercial and industrial  clients, based in Melbourne. Your specific advice that proved of most value:

1. The CV tweak – updating page 1, key skills with evidence, and having a unique CV for every job 
2. The network.  Use it – a proactive mail was the pathway to the job I took. 
3. LinkedIn – updated profile, groups, threads and connections 
4. Interview prep – running through the STAR interview questions before the interview so examples were fresh in mind
